About

The Cascadia Chapter of Wauna La-Mon'tay Lodge provides service to the East Portland and North Clackamas County areas - from the Columbia River to the City of Gladstone, and from the Willamette to Interstate 205. We function as the Order of the Arrow outlet and service corps to the Lewis and Clark District and the units therein. Through thousands of hours spent in service projects or activities to benefit the local community and Scouting program, the Cascadia Chapter is a thriving brotherhood of cheerful service who pride themselves on exemplifying the Scout Oath and Law.

Purpose of the Order of the Arrow

  • Recognize those who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives, and thus inspire others to conduct themselves in a way that warrants similar recognition.

  • Promote camping, responsible outdoor adventure, and environmental stewardship.

  • Develop leaders with the willingness, character, spirit, and ability to advance their units, our Brotherhood, Scouting, and ultimately our nation.

  • Crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership and cheerful service to others.

Obligation of the Order

I do hereby promise, on my honor as a Scout, that I will always and faithfully observe and preserve the traditions of the Order of the Arrow, Wimachtendienk, Wingolauchsik, Whitahemui.

I will always regard the ties of brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow as lasting, and will seek to preserve a cheerful spirit, even in the midst of irksome tasks and weighty responsibilities, and will endeavor, so far as in my power lies, to be unselfish in service and devotion to the welfare of others.
